Last week at @thebreadstand, sitting outside in the morning, I was struck by how beautiful it looked with the sun beating through the colorful umbrellas in the morning. Lucky for me, I had run out of coffee, and had to trot on over to my favorite local cafe for my morning caffeine. I immediately sent a photo to @artbyraysh because it reminded me of one of the pieces she’s got hanging besides mine at @papermillplayhouse right now (HINT WINK NUDGE). It’s a scene of umbrellas covering a whole street corner. It’s really beautiful and you should check it out.

Shout out to Ruben Sanchez (@zoonchez) who’s mural on the wall I…kinda struggled with how much to recreate. It’s something you should all see in person. It’s beautiful, and makes hanging out in a parking lot on some blacktop feel a lot less like hanging out in a parking lot on some blacktop. It’s like we live in a hip town full of great art, great artists, and artisanal bread stands and whatnot. Come move to Maplewood! No downsides! The taxes?
