Ken is an artist based in Maplewood New Jersey. He’s been drawing since he was a little kid, and a full time artist since 2023

Ken co-runs the Soma Figure Drawing group which meets once or twice a month for casual life drawing. Check them out on Facebook or Instagram and come to the next session.

As part of the Springfield Avenue Partnership, he hopes to bring new and innovative ideas to the local community. Ken is a connector. That’s what Malcolm Gladwell would say if he was forced to. Malcolm Gladwell and Ken will probably never meet but honestly, you never know! Six months ago, this shop didn’t even exist, and now in the Spring of 2023 it does, and he’s found himself in art galleries and being invited to art walks. In a short amount of time, he’s made a name for himself locally, and still doesn’t know why he’s using the third person in this writeup. It’s kinda weird.

He rides bikes a lot too. Ever heard of Cranksgiving? He ran that thing for ten years in Manhattan and a couple non-consecutive years in Maplewood. He’s an events guy. He likes bringing people together. It’s a strange mix of extroversion and introversion.
