Been meaning to get this @stjamesgatemaplewood doodle out for a while now. It was a couple Thursdays ago that I went in there for a burger and a sketch at 4:30 in the afternoon, before the post-work rush brought in the dinner crowds. The Gate is another one of those Maplewood institutions - an old Irish Pub, smashed between a nail salon, a diner, a barber, artisanal pizza, ice cream, bookstores etc etc etc. It’s a staple.
Jimmy the bartender told me that his occasional coworker does a lot of drawing like this and would love it. UPDATE: He’s seen it and he loves it.
