High quality Giclee print on gorgeous Somerset Velvet fine art paper for premium quality and lightfastness. Framed or unframed options are available. Prints are 8” x 10” with a 1” border for framing. Following is the caption I wrote when I posted this on instagram
TThe thing about @generalstorecooperative is that there are a bajillion people involved in it. Every time I’m there, it seems like half their customers are also helping out or involved in some way. (Hence, a co-op). I’m going to try & catch as many partners as I know of, like my own little Springfield Ave Pokemon challenge. @maplewoodwheelhouse @goodbottlerefillshop @k_dellaquila @erinhkfitness Who else?
This time, I used a larger sketchbook (a birthday gift from @melaniecurtis) and brought one of those watercolor brushes that has the water in the handle from @pentelofamerica. This was a suggestion from someone with the @nycurbansketchers group. They’re not the fanciest of brushes, but it eliminates the need for a jar of water - which is a pretty convenient feature if you’re doing some on-location painting. I was also using a set of watercolors that I need to curate a bit more. This was a basic set of @vangoghcolours - all bright primary & secondary colors. A lot of colors can be made by mixing these, but what’s missing is a raw umber or a burnt Sienna. And a black or Paynes Grey. Some kind of brown would’ve made the wood tones a lot more easy to create, and a black really would’ve helped with shadows. All that being said, all I really wanted to do was see how the brush worked, and in that case, mission accomplished.
I’m getting to the point where I’m making repeat visits to local watering holes. I’m POSITIVE that I haven’t hit every local place yet, but I am always open to suggestions.
