I’m on to pizza places now. Here’s @sabatinospizzagram, often hailed as Maplewood’s best pizza. My favorite part about this one is that moments after starting to doodle, @janejai1000 wandered in from her office next door for a slice. Janejai and I went to college together at Syracuse. She commissioned a pet portrait from me years ago. She was only in Sabatino’s for a couple minutes but I 💯 had to take that opportunity to include an old friend in one of my pieces.
My other favorite part is the little kid. I gave his dad a business card of mine so I hope he sees this.
My other favorite part is that I did this larger than usual. Not in a sketchbook. Wasn’t sure how that was going to translate, but it translated just fine.
