This morning, @nguillenc (who runs @soma.figuredrawing) replied to my story and said “whoa, you go all the way to Rahway?” Usually no I don’t. But after stumbling into @coffeeboxrahway after dropping my kid off at a birthday party at @urbanairpark and finding @carter_flames, @etep_rushing, and @josh.bagel playing some cool coffeeshop jazz while the people next to me chitchatted about chess strategy, I might certainly go back. For one, possibly to pick up on some chess strategy (I have no strategy). I’ve also been told there’s a bustling arts scene down there. Including a huge building down the road that has cheap rent for artists. <— Pro tip for any starving artists out there. Rahway, NJ.
