Man Weekend Detritus

Gave myself a strict half hour to paint the detritus left over Sunday morning when I woke up in the backyard of my buddy @leubrich in Pennsylvania. Technically there’s an equally strict social media blackout, but I’ve pored over the bylaws of this traditional Man Weekend (™ pending) and have found no reference to illustrated versions of events so I’m pretty sure I’m in the clear until the council rewrites the bylaws.

I look forward to this weekend every year. We tube in the Delaware for a couple hours, do dumb guy stuff for the rest of the day, eat mostly meat, make & listen to music, and camp out in the back yard. Everything is responsible and safe and no one has ever gotten hurt (legal bylaw requirement for me to say this).

This is the first year I drew anything. I almost felt uncomfortable doing it, but I remembered that “guy with sketchbook” IS the persona I want to cultivate and I’m happy with it. It’s an easy cultivation because it’s just *me*.
