The Maplewood Map
I can’t even begin to tell you how excited I was to work on this project! The Maplewood Village Alliance reached out to me to create this map for 2024, and I spent two months in the fall propping myself up all over town to draw it. One person bought me a cupcake. One person interviewed me for a school project. A whole lot of people stopped & chatted for a while. One person told me about this 1910 illustrated map of Maplewood that some guy hired a hot ballon for (this is what I will do for 2025. Donate here [1]). The version inside the Holiday issue of Matters Magazine labels all 90+ businesses (only a fraction of whom I’ve illustrated so far!) This is a snapshot in time, and I’m honored to have worked on it.

Send me your best photos and any other art direction such as colors, styles, favorite toys, etc. I always start with a couple sketchbook studies to get to know my subject before I jump into the final piece. I’ll communicate with you along the way just so you can see the progress happening. Fill out the form & let’s start talking!
Typically, a portrait can take up to two weeks for me to complete and ship. If you’ve got a hard deadline (like a birthday or a holiday) be sure to let me know.
