5 days left! 6K+! Let’s GO!

As promised, every time I hit a benchmark in my kickstarter I’m going to drop two new illustrations. The first one is N&K Butcher shop on Springfield Ave in Maplewood.

I really need to do more barbecuing, because the selection here is outstanding. I also should tap into my polish roots and just start doing all of my shopping here, rediscovering the recipes of my (recent) ancestors. Teddy from N&K reached out to me shortly after this project launched. He wanted to be in it! N&K is a short jaunt from my home and has some of the area's best meats & Polish groceries.

This is the FINAL WEEK of the Kickstarter. It's staying open because not only are we making a book of amazing local illustrations together, we're going to throw a

RAGER of a launch party!

KEEP YOUR FIRST WEEK OF OCTOBER WIDE OPEN - Especially Thursday the 3rd or Friday the 4th. Keep yourself up to date on the book launch here.

The more traction this project gets, the bigger party we can throw. I'm narrowing down options for the venue. There are still sponsorship slots available for this first edition of my work. If you're an interested business owner who's in this book or know someone who should be, remind them of this Kickstarter.

The Elks Lodge

This is an oldie, but it's a goodie. I ran into Dan Pieraccini (the guy standing behind the podium) at Maplewoodstock, and he asked me if I was going to put this drawing in. Dan was the Exalted Ruler at the time, and this was an initiation ceremony. I wasn't planning on going to this initiation ceremony, but two friends of mine were being inducted that evening, so I made the effort to go out and support them. I talk a bit more in depth about the origins of this particular sketch in this blog post
