Logo for Society of Excellence with laurel wreath and ribbon

The Society of Excellence is a community of artists, sharing our collective knowledge & insight to help one another grow.

Video Tutorials, Online Meetups + Work Sessions, plus Live Online Lessons. Being in the same room with other artists is HUGE for moving yourself ahead in your practice or your career. As artists, we inherently have an inherently solo profession. The Society is a way to pick each other’s right brains, even if we may not be physically together.

I’ve got 48 years of experience as a human, plus 20+ as a graphic designer, and 2-5 as a professional artist [1]. You’re part of my team now.
I’m always here to answer your questions, give advice, or constructively critique your work [2].

  • Live Online Lessons

Tune in. Paint along. Show me what you’ve got. I’ll be there to answer all the questions & conversation I can keep up with.

  • Online Meetups & Work Sessions

Monday morning mastermind sessions, followed by an hour of focused work activity. Thursday 1 hour work sprints bookend the week with productivity. Eye of the Tiger!

BEST VALUE!

There’s something for you no matter where you are

I mean this geographically and psychographically [3]. You could be in the middle of Montana or in Downtown LA and you can still keep in touch with this artist from New Jersey.

Or you can be struggling to establish or maintain a foothold in your practice. There are a LOT of things to think about if you’re running your own arts business. I’ve thought about all of them [4]. If I don’t have a solution for you to implement, I can find someone who does or point you in the direction of better resources.

I’ve got a 20+ year career in design & advertising behind me. I’ve learned how to create motion graphics, build brand campaigns, plan social media calendars, optimize design production, edit videos, build powerpoint decks, write pithy copy like this, and so much more.

FAQs

  • As with everything, you get out of it what you put into it. My hope is that you tune in to a little bit of everything - not every single time, but it’s all available for you when you’re ready for it.

  • That’s right, just $15 a month. I want it to be affordable, and you get GREAT value out of it. There are lower tiers for just mastermind access or just video tutorial access, but the Complete Excellence level is a really really great value at $15/mo.

  • With a 20 year career in Graphic Design, I’ve built up tons of skills that make my art career much easier. I’m here to share a load of pro tips with you. I’m also an experienced event organizer, and really thrive within communities. I’ve done some research, I’ve done some wild experimenting. I’ve tried & succeeded, and I’ve tried and failed. It’s kinda fun.

FOOTNOTES & GLOSSARY

  1. Those first three years were just me working up to it. Lotta content happened in those first three years!

  2. Except when I’m not, in which case I’ll get back to you as soon as possible. Like, you know, I gotta sleep some times. Stuff like that.

  3. This probably isn’t really the right term, but I mean “your state of mind. Your position in regards to art in your life and career”.

  4. OK fine. Most of them. A lot of most of them at least.
